A strategy that puts young people at the heart of strengthening social cohesion by giving them a realistic role

The constant reminders of the unpredictability of what can be catastrophic situations add more responsibility to the young generation who are now trying to find their way to prosperity and to their European dream. In order to counteract these trends, a strategy is needed that puts young people at the center to create increased resilience in society. Ungdomar Skapar Resiliens i Samhället explores the possibilities of the youth movement in Sweden by examining their creative role in their communities; develop innovative ways and techniques to build on this trait; and incorporate their role in preventing, alleviating and resisting risk.

The project is funded by Formas and affiliated with the Department of Urban and Rural Development at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences - SLU.
